The University of Virginia Credit Union is headquartered in Charlottesville, VA and has branches spanning nearly a dozen locations across Central Virginia. It serves over 70,000 members with assets in excess of $790 million. They’re a not-for-profit financial cooperative that’s become the regional antidote to the proverbial big bank machine.
They contacted Good Soil Agency to develop a series of digital and print advertisements to promote their credit card offerings for the upcoming holiday season.
THE STRATEGY
Since the holiday promotion window was fast upon us, we dove in quickly to hit their media deadlines. After completing our discovery phase, which included stakeholder input, a survey of their current advertising executions, and a review of their detailed creative brief, Good Soil Agency began developing the targeted creative executions.
We needed to drive home their messaging, while adhering closely to a detailed brand guide, keen creative direction, and stringent banking regulations.
THE WORK
In less than six weeks Good Soil Agency concepted and created over dozen digital display ads, cinemagraphs, and gifs for placements across UVA Credit Union’s service area. The creative included placements for external websites, UVA Credit Union’s home page and onsite branch locations, Facebook, direct mail, posters, and regional print magazines.
With this swift effort, UVA Credit Union was able to meet their deadlines and present a clear, targeted promotional campaign advertising their holiday credit card financing options to millions of potential customers.
