THE BACKGROUND

With campuses in Virginia, South Carolina, and Alabama, The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) is a four-year osteopathic medical school that offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. They contacted our group because they were in the midst of a multi-campus growth phase and they were eager for a solution to provide branded merchandise to their students and alumni through an e-commerce store.

THE STRATEGY

First, we spent time reviewing VCOM’s big picture goals to fully understand their needs. We then considered their customers, alumni and students, to outline the buyer personas and identify use cases. Applying these findings, we crafted their Shopify store and branded merchandise catalogs. A pivotal element to this solution was the adherence of rigid brand standards onto all merchandise executions to ensure seamless branding.

THE WORK

We developed a two-fold solution for VCOM: 1) A high-quality branded merchandise catalog 2) A responsive-design Shopify platform with world-class UI/UX that adhered perfectly to VCOM’s brand standards, providing a dynamic branded merchandise and e-commerce experience to their growing, multi-campus organization.
